The Brazilian Nuclear Quality Institute IBQN (Instituto Brasileiro da Qualidade Nuclear) is a nonprofit organization which was set up on October 16, 1978 with the purpose of introducing the latest Quality Assurance techniques into Brazil thereby contributing to the technological and managerial enhancement of Brazilian organizations participating in the Brazilian Nuclear Program (PNB).

Originally created as the OSTI (Independent Technical Supervisory Agency) which was responsible for Quality Assurance in the nuclear area, IBQN broadened its operations to provide services to a number of sectors, developing engineering studies and deploying programs focused on Quality, fostering organizational development, increasing competitiveness, social responsibility and protecting the environment.
